TORONTO's MacNeil (A) deadly on offense in 5-1 win against BURLINGTON

TORONTO relied on the scoring touch of MacKenzie MacNeil (A), who netted two goals, to beat BURLINGTON, 5-1.

MacNeil (A) found the back of the net 18 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO and again while 5:07 into the third to make the score 3-1 TORONTO.

TORONTO stifled BURLINGTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. TORONTO forced BURLINGTON goalie Kyra OBrien to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

TORONTO additionally got points from Cora Constantinou, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. TORONTO also got a goal from Taytum Clairmont as well. More assists for TORONTO came via Sabrina Repaci, Jessie Eldridge, Laura Ball, and Kaitlin Tse, who contributed one a piece.

BURLINGTON found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against TORONTO's defense. BURLINGTON's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to TORONTO's power play unit. BURLINGTON gave up more goals than its normal season average. BURLINGTON gives up 2.2 goals per game.

BURLINGTON was led by Darcy Henderson, who scored the team's only goal. Henderson scored 2:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 BURLINGTON.

Sarah Stephens recorded 12 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kyra OBrien made 30 saves for BURLINGTON on 35 shots. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
