Huge game by Mariani boosts MISSISSAUGA over AURORA, 6-3

Behind a great game by Kelly Mariani, who had two goals and two assists, MISSISSAUGA defeated AURORA, 6-3.

Mariani found the back of the net 4:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA and again while 7:15 into the third to make the score 6-2 MISSISSAUGA.

MISSISSAUGA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. MISSISSAUGA finished below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. MISSISSAUGA kept AURORA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicholle Kovach made 30 saves on 36 shots. MISSISSAUGA bested its season scoring average. MISSISSAUGA averages 3.5 goals per game.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Caitlyn Sadowy, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Victoria Bach, who also racked up one goal and two assists. MISSISSAUGA also had goals scored by Nadine Edney and Kaitlin Lowy, who scored one goal each.
