STONEY CREEK failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and BLUEWATER shook off a number of penalties to win, 2-1. BLUEWATER was led by Karley Campbell (A), who tallied one goal and one assist. Campbell (A) scored 11:01 into the third period to make the score 2-1 BLUEWATER. Taylor Philip (A) assisted on the tally. BLUEWATER put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow STONEY CREEK to score on any of its 10 power plays. BLUEWATER's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as BLUEWATER finished with 18 penalty minutes. BLUEWATER also got points from Philip (A), who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, BLUEWATER received assists from Lauren Lefler (C) and Shailyn Waites, who contributed one a piece. STONEY CREEK was led by Kristin ONeill, who scored the team's only goal. ONeill scored 1:13 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Molly Jenkins made 14 saves for BLUEWATER on 15 shots. BLUEWATER registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Sarah McDonnell rejected 21 shots on goal for STONEY CREEK. STONEY CREEK incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
