NEPEAN rolls over OAKVILLE, 4-0Carleton IH - Rink A Fri, Feb 14, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
NEPEAN had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over OAKVILLE. NEPEAN was led by Josiane Pozzebon, who racked up one goal. Pozzebon scored 5:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Addi Halladay assisted on the tally. NEPEAN kept OAKVILLE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Stephanie Loukes made 31 saves on 35 shots. NEPEAN also got a goal from Shana Alexander as well. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Alyssa Baker, who had two and Blake Orosz, Alison MacKenzie, Lindsay Eastwood(C), Sophie Contant, and Carolyn Williams, who contributed one a piece. OAKVILLE could not produce up to it normal offensive output. OAKVILLE averages 2.4 goals per game. NEPEAN's defense shut down OAKVILLE's forwards for much of the game, and OAKVILLE got off only 10 shots during the contest. Megan Halhed recorded 10 saves for NEPEAN. NEPEAN finished the contest with no penalties and went 3-for-6 with the man advantage. OAKVILLE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities.
