xBRAMPTON wins tough contest against xOAKVILLE, 4-3

The game between xBRAMPTON and xOAKVILLE was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end xBRAMPTON emerged with a 4-3 win.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Isabella Triolo at 19:59 of the third period.

Meagan OBrien was all over the ice for xBRAMPTON, as she tallied two goals and one assist in the win. OBrien scored the first of her two goals at 8:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Lindsey Smith provided the assist. OBrien's next tally made the score 2-1 xBRAMPTON with 5:06 left in the first period. Alessia Pasquariello (A) assisted on the tally.

xBRAMPTON pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

xBRAMPTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow xOAKVILLE to score on any of its six power plays.

xBRAMPTON additionally got points from Alicia Waddingham, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for xBRAMPTON were Brooke Hartwick and Jessica Geddes, who contributed one a piece.

xOAKVILLE managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. xOAKVILLE ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game.

xOAKVILLE was led by Cassidy MacPherson, who finished with one goal and two assists. MacPherson scored 1:27 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Christina Putigna provided the assist. xOAKVILLE also got points from Putigna, who also registered one goal and one assist and Jennifer MacAskill (C), who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for xOAKVILLE came via Olivia Atkinson (A) and Laura Magliocchi, who each chipped in one.

Isabelle Hunter recorded 17 saves for xBRAMPTON. xBRAMPTON registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. xOAKVILLE's Daniela Paniccia stopped 19 shots out of the 23 that she faced.
