BURLINGTON and STONEY CREEK skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

STONEY CREEK trailed BURLINGTON by two in the second period, but STONEY CREEK did not give up and the game ended in a 2-2 (OT) tie.

BURLINGTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow STONEY CREEK to score on any of its six power plays.

BURLINGTON was helped by Logan Boyd, who registered two goals. Boyd scored the first of her two goals at 5:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BURLINGTON. Tristyn Svetek assisted on the tally. Boyd's next tally made the score 2-0 BURLINGTON with 14:18 left in the second period. Maggie Spratt-Mallick picked up the assist. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Darcy Henderson, who had one.

STONEY CREEK kept BURLINGTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and EJ Milne-Price made 38 saves on 40 shots.

STONEY CREEK was helped by Kristin ONeill, who grabbed one goal. ONeill scored 11:48 into the second period to make the score 2-1 BURLINGTON. Rachel Smith (PU) assisted on the tally. STONEY CREEK also got a goal from Sarah Hine (PU) as well. Other players who recorded assists for STONEY CREEK were Sarah Quaranta (A)home), who had two.

BURLINGTON incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Taylor Cook made 19 saves for STONEY CREEK on 21 shots. STONEY CREEK incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
