MISSISSAUGA wins tough contest against WHITBY, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, MISSISSAUGA escaped with a 4-2 victory over WHITBY.

MISSISSAUGA gained the winning advantage on a goal by Caitlyn Sadowy 13:42 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

With three goals and one assist between them, Victoria Bach and Sadowy teamed up to power MISSISSAUGA's offense. Bach grabbed two goals and Sadowy also added one goal and one assist.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Sadowy, who also registered one goal and one assist. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Ainsley MacMillan as well. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Stephanie Sucharda, Amelia Boughn, and Kelly Mariani, who contributed one a piece.

MISSISSAUGA was unable to stop WHITBY from sending pucks towards the net, and WHITBY eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. WHITBY gave up more goals than its normal season average. WHITBY gives up 1.2 goal per game. WHITBY got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

WHITBY was helped by Hailey Noronha, who had two goals. Noronha scored the first of her two goals at 2:54 into the third period to make the score 2-1 MISSISSAUGA. Emily Volpe (PU) assisted on the tally. Noronha's next tally made the score 2-2 with 12:17 left in the third period. Alana Sims (PU) picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for WHITBY were CJ Tipping, who had one.

Amelia Boughn made 34 saves for MISSISSAUGA on 36 shots. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hannah Baker rejected 21 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
