TORONTO survives penalties, beats ETOBICOKE, 3-1

Despite having to fight off several power plays, TORONTO was able to defeat ETOBICOKE, 3-1.

TORONTO was led by Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who had one goal. Wilson-Bennett scored 5:00 into the third period to make the score 2-0 TORONTO. Loren Gabel picked up the assist.

TORONTO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow ETOBICOKE to score on any of its eight power plays. TORONTO's offense rang up 51 shots on ETOBICOKE's net. TORONTO could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

TORONTO also got points from Taytum Clairmont, who also racked up one goal and one assist. TORONTO also got a goal from Sabrina Repaci as well. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Grace Wickens and Amanda Pantaleo, who each chipped in one.

ETOBICOKE's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and ETOBICOKE managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. ETOBICOKE was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 36 penalty minutes.

ETOBICOKE was led by Emilia Cotter, who scored the team's only goal. Cotter scored 13:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO. Tegan Duncan assisted on the tally.

Sarah Stephens made 13 saves for TORONTO on 14 shots. TORONTO registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Fabianna Petricca (PU) recorded 48 saves for ETOBICOKE.
