Behind a great game by Loren Gabel, who had two goals and one assist, TORONTO defeated OTTAWA, 5-2.

Gabel's tallies came at 4:18 into the second period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO and 19:33 into the third to make the score 5-2 TORONTO.

In the losing effort, OTTAWA was led by Stacy Galasso, who registered two goals. Galasso scored the first of her two goals at 5:05 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tasza Tarnowski (PU) assisted on the tally. Galasso's next tally made the score 2-1 OTTAWA with 12:43 left in the second period. Rebecca Leslie (C) provided the assist.

TORONTO stifled OTTAWA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. TORONTO kept OTTAWA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tanya Winchcombe made 28 saves on 33 shots.

TORONTO also got points from Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Taytum Clairmont, who also had one goal and two assists. TORONTO also got a goal from Amanda Pantaleo as well. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Jessica Gazzola, who had two and Connor Galway (PU) and Jessie Eldridge, who contributed one a piece.

OTTAWA gave up more goals than its normal season average. OTTAWA averages 2.0 goals allowed per game.

Sarah Stephens recorded 19 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. OTTAWA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
