ETOBICOKE pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over KINGSTON on a clutch goal by Rachel Carvalho. KINGSTON could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. ETOBICOKE made it 2-0 on a goal by Emilia Cotter at 12:52 in the first period. KINGSTON pulled to within 2-1 on a goal by Shelby Perry (A) at 4:39 in the third period. ETOBICOKE's penalty kill excelled, as ETOBICOKE gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. ETOBICOKE stifled KINGSTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. ETOBICOKE kept KINGSTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jensen Murphy made 35 saves on 38 shots. ETOBICOKE's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. ETOBICOKE also got points from Erin Locke, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for ETOBICOKE came via Bianca Canade, Emily Pinto (PU), Madison MacCulloch, and Larissa Borowiec, who each chipped in one. KINGSTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three ETOBICOKE power plays. ETOBICOKE was unable to stop KINGSTON from sending pucks towards the net, and KINGSTON eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. KINGSTON was helped by Mariah Wilson, who finished with one goal. Wilson scored 12:20 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brianna Gaffney assisted on the tally. In addition, KINGSTON received assists from Brenna Murphy, Erran Lee, and Ally Davies, who contributed one a piece. Sarah Jamieson made 32 saves for ETOBICOKE on 34 shots. ETOBICOKE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. KINGSTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
