BURLINGTON rolls over AURORA, 3-0Mainway A Fri, Jan 10, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
BURLINGTON had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over AURORA. BURLINGTON was led by Logan Boyd, who tallied one goal. Boyd scored 5:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BURLINGTON. Jessie Rietveld picked up the assist. BURLINGTON managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BURLINGTON ended up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Maggie Spratt-Mallick also scored for BURLINGTON. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Tayor Reichheld (PU), who had two and Darcy Henderson and Tristyn Svetek, who contributed one a piece. Kyra OBrien rejected 18 shots on goal for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. AURORA's Nicholle Kovach stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that she faced. AURORA avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays.
