Kelly Mariani had two goals and one assist to lead MISSISSAUGA to a 5-1 victory over SOUTHWEST.

Mariani's tallies came at 1:18 into the third period to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA and 2:03 into the third to make the score 3-0 MISSISSAUGA.

SOUTHWEST's power play was ineffective against MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six SOUTHWEST power plays. MISSISSAUGA's offense rang up 37 shots on SOUTHWEST's net.

SOUTHWEST was led by Amanda Purdie, who scored the team's only goal. Purdie scored 11:45 into the third period to make the score 3-1 MISSISSAUGA.

MISSISSAUGA's Amelia Boughn stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that she faced. MISSISSAUGA totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Kayla Loberg made 32 saves for SOUTHWEST on 36 shots. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
