Krystin Lawrence lifted BLUEWATER to a 4-1 victory with a hat trick against AURORA. Lawrence's first goal came 10:19 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:36 into the second and at 10:38 into the second.BLUEWATER's penalty kill excelled, as BLUEWATER gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. BLUEWATER stifled AURORA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BLUEWATER's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as BLUEWATER finished with 14 penalty minutes. BLUEWATER also got a goal from Karley Campbell as well. Other players who recorded assists for BLUEWATER were Taylor Philip, who had two and Bradey Cowenberg (PU) and Morgan McCann, who each chipped in one. AURORA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BLUEWATER to score on any of its three power plays. AURORA was led by Reagan Fuller, who scored the team's only goal. Fuller scored 1:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 AURORA. Christine McCarthy provided the assist. BLUEWATER's Molly Jenkins stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that she faced. Taylor Lemmon made 24 saves for AURORA on 28 shots. AURORA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
