Huge game by Field (A)home) boosts STONEY CREEK over OAKVILLE, 5-1

STONEY CREEK's Madison Field (A)home) had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in her team's 5-1 win over OAKVILLE.

Field (A)home) beat Daniela Paniccia with a shot 8:56 into the third period to make the score 2-1 STONEY CREEK. Sarah Quaranta (A)home) picked up the assist. Field (A)home) dished an assist on Quaranta (A)home)'s goal that made the score 1-1 at 7:34 into the third period. He added another helper on Sarah Hine (PU)'s goal that made the score 3-1 STONEY CREEK at 12:50 into the third period.

STONEY CREEK's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five OAKVILLE power plays. STONEY CREEK found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. STONEY CREEK has scored at the pace of 2.5 goals per game during the current campaign.

STONEY CREEK also got points from Rosie Heffernan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Quaranta (A)home), who also registered one goal and one assist.

OAKVILLE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

OAKVILLE was led by Jennifer MacAskill, who scored the team's only goal. MacAskill scored 5:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE. Jacinta Kennedy assisted on the tally.

Sarah McDonnell took the win and made 16 saves before being replaced by Taylor Cook who made zero saves. STONEY CREEK incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Paniccia recorded 23 saves for OAKVILLE.
