TORONTO holds on for 3-1 win against WATERLOO

WATERLOO tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but TORONTO would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

TORONTO took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have WATERLOO storm back on a Taylor Weber goal 16:03 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

TORONTO was led by Cora Constantinou, who registered one goal. Constantinou scored 2:29 into the second period to make the score 2-0 TORONTO. MacKenzie MacNeil assisted on the tally.

TORONTO forced WATERLOO goalie Cohen Myers to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Others who scored for TORONTO included Breanne Wilson-Bennett and Jessie Eldridge, who scored one goal each. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Julia Fedeski, Sabrina Repaci, Connor Galway (PU), Taytum Clairmont, and Loren Gabel, who each chipped in one.

WATERLOO stifled TORONTO's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. WATERLOO did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 11 saves.

Other players who recorded assists for WATERLOO were Amber Sealey and Lindsay Dales, who contributed one a piece.

Ally Sarna rejected 11 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Myers recorded 36 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
