Rhyen McGill was all over the ice for WHITBY, as she tallied two goals in WHITBY's 2-1 win over OAKVILLE. McGill's tallies came at 1:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WHITBY and 6:21 into the third to make the score 2-1 WHITBY.WHITBY put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OAKVILLE to score on any of its three power plays. WHITBY's offense rang up 32 shots on OAKVILLE's net. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Megan Sullivan and Hailey Noronha, who each chipped in one. OAKVILLE found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against WHITBY's defense. OAKVILLE was led by Olivia Atkinson, who scored the team's only goal. Atkinson scored 9:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Lauren Patterson picked up the assist. Rachel McQuigge (PU) made 12 saves for WHITBY on 13 shots. WHITBY incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Daniela Paniccia rejected 30 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
