Becca Chilvers gave BARRIE a 4-3 (OT) victory over AURORA when she scored 3:44 into the extra period. BARRIE overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. BARRIE was down 3-1 after a goal by AURORA's Christine McCarthy at 44 seconds in the third period. BARRIE tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Tara Morning at 15:28 in the third period. BARRIE was paced on offense by Morning and Chilvers, who combined for five points. Morning had two goals and one assist and Chilvers also notched one goal and one assist. BARRIE forced AURORA goalie Taylor Lemmon to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. BARRIE surpassed its usual scoring output this season. BARRIE has scored at the pace of 1.8 goal per game during the current campaign. Penalties took their toll on BARRIE, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. BARRIE also got points from Chilvers, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jasmine Morning also scored for BARRIE. In addition, BARRIE received assists from Sara Corcoran, Kara Washer (PU), and Alex Bond, who each chipped in one. AURORA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. AURORA also got a goal from Breanna Kenning as well. More assists for AURORA came via Steffei Samuel, who had one and Brittany Kucera (C) and Reagan Fuller, who each chipped in two. Becka Verschuren made 27 saves for BARRIE on 30 shots. BARRIE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lemmon rejected 29 shots on goal for AURORA. AURORA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
