WATERLOO survived a determined comeback attempt by KINGSTON on the way to a 3-1 win. WATERLOO took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have KINGSTON storm back on a Ebony Drummond-Walsh goal 3:21 into the third period to pull to two goals down. WATERLOO pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. WATERLOO forced KINGSTON goalie Jensen Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. WATERLOO was helped by Amanda Chiarello, who had one goal. Chiarello scored 14:02 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WATERLOO. Amber Sealey provided the assist. WATERLOO also had goals scored by Laura Irwin and Hannah Davidson, who scored one goal each. More assists for WATERLOO came via Taylor Walker and Mary Worndl, who each chipped in one. In addition, KINGSTON received assists from Kailey Peirson and Mariah Wilson, who contributed one a piece. Cohen Myers recorded 22 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO registered one goal on five power play opportunities. KINGSTON's Murphy stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that she faced. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
