Behind a great game by Loren Gabel, who had two goals, TORONTO defeated SOUTHWEST, 5-1. Gabel scored at 4:03 into the second period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO and again while 10:14 into the second to make the score 4-1 TORONTO.TORONTO made SOUTHWEST's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, finishing with 35 shots and forcing 30 saves. Kayla Loberg made 17 stops and Hanna Slater made 13. TORONTO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. TORONTO additionally got points from Jessica Gazzola, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Cora Constantinou, who also had one goal and one assist. TORONTO also got a goal from Kaitlin Tse as well. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who had two and Sabrina Repaci, MacKenzie MacNeil, Taytum Clairmont, and Sarah Knee, who each chipped in one. SOUTHWEST was led by Muna Fadel, who scored the team's only goal. Fadel scored 6:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 SOUTHWEST. TORONTO's Stephanie Neatby (PU) stopped 15 shots out of the 16 that she faced. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
