Huge game by Cogan boosts NEPEAN over LEASIDE, 8-0

Sam Cogan had one goal and four assists to lead NEPEAN to an 8-0 victory over LEASIDE.

Cogan beat Karen Morenz with a shot 12:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Katryne Villeneuve picked up the assist. Cogan dished an assist on Villeneuve's goal that made the score 3-0 NEPEAN at 2:04 into the third period. He then added assists on Dallis Ferguson's goal at 12:44 into the third, on Villeneuve's goal at 15:07 into the third, and on Villeneuve's goal at 18:20 into the third.

NEPEAN managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEPEAN ended up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. LEASIDE was unable to stop NEPEAN from sending pucks towards the net, and NEPEAN eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. NEPEAN bested its season scoring average. NEPEAN averages 3.6 goals per game. NEPEAN got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

NEPEAN additionally got points from Villeneuve, who also registered three goals and one assist, Ferguson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Josiane Pozzebon, who also racked up one goal and two assists. NEPEAN also had goals scored by Alyssa Baker and Sophie Contant, who scored one goal each.
