Huge game by Grigsby (PU) boosts WHITBY over OTTAWA, 4-1Iroquois - Rink#1 Sun, Nov 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
WHITBY had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over OTTAWA. Jamie Grigsby (PU) was all over the ice for WHITBY, as she tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Grigsby (PU) scored the first of her two goals at 10:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Megan Picco (PU) picked up the assist. WHITBY additionally got points from Picco (PU), who also had one goal and one assist. WHITBY also got a goal from Hailey Noronha as well. More assists for WHITBY came via Jamie Fox (PU), who had two and Madison Badeau and Emily Volpe (PU), who contributed one a piece. OTTAWA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. OTTAWA ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. OTTAWA gave up more goals than its normal season average. OTTAWA gives up 1.8 goal per game. WHITBY incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Shawlee Gaudreault took the loss and made 14 saves before being replaced by Sarah Hiscock (PU) who made five saves.
