OAKVILLE relied on the scoring touch of Jordan Martin, who netted two goals, to beat LEASIDE, 2-0.

Martin found the back of the net 4:11 into the third period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE and again while 12:05 into the third to make the score 2-0 OAKVILLE.

OAKVILLE was boosted by Stephanie Loukes, who turned in a shutout with 27 saves. Loukes certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 2.32 entering the contest.

OAKVILLE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LEASIDE to score on any of its four power plays. OAKVILLE's defense was surprisingly good. OAKVILLE allows 2.2 goals per game. OAKVILLE kept LEASIDE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Karen Morenz made 32 saves on 34 shots.
