NEPEAN outlasts TORONTO, 3-2Seneca SC Rink Sun, Nov 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between NEPEAN and TORONTO was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end NEPEAN emerged with a 3-2 win. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Sophie Contant at 15:50 of the third period. NEPEAN was paced by Contant, who racked up one goal. NEPEAN managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEPEAN ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. NEPEAN also got a goal from Blake Orosz as well. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Josiane Pozzebon, who had two and Dallis Ferguson, Alyssa Baker, and Addi Halladay, who contributed one a piece. TORONTO was helped by Taytum Clairmont, who registered one goal. Clairmont scored 3:21 into the third period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO. Jessie Eldridge picked up the assist. TORONTO also got points from Eldridge, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for TORONTO came via Connor Galway (PU), Sarah Knee, and Loren Gabel, who each chipped in one. NEPEAN's Megan Halhed stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that she faced. NEPEAN registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Ally Sarna made 19 saves for TORONTO on 22 shots. TORONTO ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. TORONTO ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Amanda Pantaleo was ejected from the game.
