WHITBY rips NEPEAN, 5-2

WHITBY had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over NEPEAN.

WHITBY excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

WHITBY was helped by Jamie Grigsby (PU), who finished with one goal. Grigsby (PU) scored 4:12 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Megan Picco (PU) picked up the assist. WHITBY also got points from Emily Volpe (PU), who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for WHITBY included Megan Sullivan, CJ Tipping, and Rhyen McGill, who each put in one. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Lauren Williams, who had two and Jamie Fox (PU), Hailey Noronha, and Cassidy Vinkle, who each chipped in one.

NEPEAN's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. NEPEAN gives up 1.0 goal per game.

NEPEAN was led by Sam Cogan, who registered one goal and one assist. Cogan scored 13:22 into the third period to make the score 4-2 WHITBY. NEPEAN also got a goal from Addi Halladay as well. More assists for NEPEAN came via Blake Orosz, who had one.

Kassidy Sauve rejected 25 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kira Bombay took the loss and made five saves before being replaced by Megan Halhed who made 16 saves. NEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
