Stacy Galasso gave OTTAWA a 3-2 (OT) victory over WHITBY when she scored 4:22 into the extra period. OTTAWA came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. OTTAWA fell behind 2-0 after a goal by WHITBY's Rhyen McGill at 9:27 in the first period. OTTAWA knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Rebecca Leslie (C) at 19:59 in the third period. Galasso had a great game for OTTAWA, netting two goals. OTTAWA stifled WHITBY's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. OTTAWA's offense rang up 44 shots on WHITBY's net. In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Katelyn Fournier, who had two and Kimiko Marinacci, Natalie Fraser, Amanda Titus (A), and Caitlyn McLaren, who contributed one a piece. WHITBY racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. WHITBY surpassed its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Other players who recorded assists for WHITBY were Kirsten Welsh, Katelyn Rae (PU), and Cassidy Vinkle, who each chipped in one. Shawlee Gaudreault took the win and made 16 saves before being replaced by Tanya Winchcombe who made 10 saves. OTTAWA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kassidy Sauve rejected 41 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. For WHITBY, McGill was ejected from the game.
