CAMBRIDGE survived a determined comeback attempt by KINGSTON on the way to a 3-2 win. CAMBRIDGE made the score 3-1 on a goal by Megan Hart (PU) at 6:30 in the third period, and KINGSTON got as close as 3-2 when Shelby Perry (A) scored 11:50 into the third period. CAMBRIDGE was led by Hart (PU), who racked up one goal. CAMBRIDGE was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 20 penalty minutes. CAMBRIDGE also got points from Rachel Holden, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Abby Hofstra (PU) also scored for CAMBRIDGE. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Rebecca Haddaway, Shannon Pearson (PU), and Brooklyn Davis, who each chipped in one. KINGSTON had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances. KINGSTON was helped by Erran Lee, who tallied one goal. Lee scored 2:33 into the second period to make the score 1-0 KINGSTON. Perry (A) assisted on the tally. KINGSTON additionally got points from Perry (A), who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for KINGSTON came via Brianna Gaffney, who had one. CAMBRIDGE's Julia Vandyk stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that she faced. CAMBRIDGE registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Jensen Murphy rejected 27 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
