NEPEAN survives BARRIE comeback, wins 3-1Carleton IH - Rink B Sun, Oct 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
BARRIE almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but NEPEAN managed to pull out a 3-1 win in the end. NEPEAN led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when NEPEAN's Dallis Ferguson's scored at 10:06 in the second period to put NEPEAN up 3-0. NEPEAN did not waste many scoring chances, needing only three shots to achieve its goal tally. NEPEAN was sparked by Blake Orosz, who had one goal. Orosz scored 13:21 into the first period to make the score 2-0 NEPEAN. Jenna MacDonald provided the assist. NEPEAN also got a goal from Addi Halladay as well. More assists for NEPEAN came via Katryne Villeneuve, who had two and Sam Cogan and Carolyn Williams, who contributed one a piece. BARRIE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow NEPEAN to score on any of its seven power plays. BARRIE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. BARRIE was led by Kara Washer (PU), who scored the team's only goal. Washer (PU) scored 10:20 into the second period to make the score 3-1 NEPEAN. Chelsea Tucker assisted on the tally. NEPEAN incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. BARRIE registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
