BARRIE's Becca Chilvers scored 1:46 into overtime to beat OTTAWA, 2-1 (OT). BARRIE was led by goalie Alexx Ridding, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. Ridding managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.77 prior to the game. OTTAWA's power play was ineffective against BARRIE's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. BARRIE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OTTAWA to score on any of its six power plays.
