BURLINGTON and WATERLOO skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Two goals from Laura Irwin and one point from Hannah Davidson could not prevent WATERLOO from drawing with BURLINGTON, 4-4 (OT).

BURLINGTON's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as BURLINGTON finished with 14 penalty minutes. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

BURLINGTON was helped by Jessie Rietveld, who grabbed one goal. Rietveld scored 3:58 into the second period to make the score 3-1 BURLINGTON. Shana Toale provided the assist. BURLINGTON additionally got points from Logan Boyd, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Megan Delay also scored for BURLINGTON. More assists for BURLINGTON came via Hayley McCalllum, who had two.

WATERLOO kept BURLINGTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Elijah Milne-Price made 31 saves on 35 shots. WATERLOO's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. WATERLOO gives up 1.7 goal per game.

WATERLOO also got a goal from Samantha Squires as well. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Amanda Chiarello, who had two and Amber Sealey, Taylor Weber, Lindsay Dales, and Kaelyn Toews (PU), who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. WATERLOO's Morgan (PU) Baker stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that she faced. WATERLOO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
