AURORA survived a determined comeback attempt by ETOBICOKE on the way to a 3-2 win. AURORA made the score 3-1 on a goal by Olivia Bullen at 10:37 in the second period, and ETOBICOKE got as close as 3-2 when Alison Hanson scored 8:04 into the third period. ETOBICOKE's power play was ineffective against AURORA's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. AURORA also got a goal from Christine McCarthy as well. In addition, AURORA received assists from Taylor Plume, Emily Reier, Reagan Fuller, and Maddison Lee, who contributed one a piece. ETOBICOKE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow AURORA to score on any of its five power plays. Larissa Borowiec also scored for ETOBICOKE. More assists for ETOBICOKE came via Rachel Carvalho and Julia Parente, who each chipped in one. Nicholle Kovach recorded 23 saves for AURORA. AURORA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sarah Jamieson made 18 saves for ETOBICOKE on 21 shots. ETOBICOKE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. |
