TORONTO blows out ETOBICOKE, 5-1

TORONTO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over ETOBICOKE.

Taytum Clairmont was all over the ice for TORONTO, as she tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Clairmont scored 9:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO. Jessica Gazzola picked up the assist.

TORONTO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three ETOBICOKE power plays. TORONTO forced ETOBICOKE goalie Christi Honor to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

TORONTO also got points from Gazzola, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for TORONTO included Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who had one and Cora Constantinou, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Julia Fedeski, Sabrina Repaci, MacKenzie MacNeil, Connor Galway (PU), Kaitlin Tse, Sarah Knee, and Loren Gabel, who contributed one a piece.

TORONTO's defense shut down ETOBICOKE's forwards for much of the game, and ETOBICOKE got off only 10 shots during the contest. ETOBICOKE's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. ETOBICOKE gives up 2.3 goals per game.

TORONTO's Brynna Kerr stopped nine shots out of the 10 that she faced. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Honor rejected 43 shots on goal for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
