NEPEAN rips KINGSTON, 5-0

NEPEAN had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over KINGSTON.

NEPEAN was led by Addi Halladay, who registered one goal and one assist. Halladay scored 10:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Lindsay Eastwood picked up the assist.

NEPEAN's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three KINGSTON power plays. NEPEAN's offense rang up 34 shots on KINGSTON's net. NEPEAN found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. NEPEAN has scored at the pace of 2.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

NEPEAN also had goals scored by Katryne Villeneuve, who had two and Alyssa Baker and Nicole Halladay (PU), who each put in one. More assists for NEPEAN came via Shana Alexander, Dallis Ferguson, Jenna MacDonald, Sam Cogan, and Josiane Pozzebon, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow NEPEAN to score on any of its three power plays. KINGSTON found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against NEPEAN's defense.

Kira Bombay rejected 13 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jensen Murphy recorded 29 saves for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
