DURHAM WEST had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over BURLINGTON. DURHAM WEST pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes. DURHAM WEST was paced by Alyssa Gee (PU), who had one goal and one assist. DURHAM WEST stifled BURLINGTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. DURHAM WEST additionally got points from Kennedy Marchment, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Alysha Burriss also scored for DURHAM WEST. In addition, DURHAM WEST received assists from Meagan Lee, who had two and Claire Balas and Victoria Bugg, who contributed one a piece. BURLINGTON's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. BURLINGTON gives up 1.8 goal per game. BURLINGTON got its opportunities on the power play, but did not convert any of its nine chances. Stephanie Sluys made 15 saves for DURHAM WEST on 15 shots. DURHAM WEST registered one goal on five power play opportunities. DURHAM WEST ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Claudia Black was ejected from the game. Elijah Milne-Price rejected 22 shots on goal for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
