TORONTO downs AURORA, 6-1

MacKenzie MacNeil finished with one point to lead TORONTO to a 6-1 victory over AURORA.

TORONTO made AURORA's netminders to work in net, racking up 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Nicholle Kovach made 37 stops and Taylor Lemmon made eight. TORONTO managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. TORONTO finished below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game.

TORONTO also got points from Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Jessie Eldridge, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. TORONTO also had goals scored by Jessica Gazzola, who had one and Cora Constantinou, who had two. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Connor Galway (PU) and Amanda Pantaleo, who contributed one a piece and Sabrina Repaci and Cara Clark (PU), who each chipped in two.

AURORA's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and AURORA managed only 11 shots on goal during the game.

AURORA was led by Madison Miller (PU), who scored the team's only goal. Miller (PU) scored 6:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 AURORA. Steffei Samuel assisted on the tally.

TORONTO's Ally Sarna stopped 10 shots out of the 11 that she faced. TORONTO registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. AURORA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
