BLUEWATER survived a determined comeback attempt by AURORA on the way to a 4-2 win. BLUEWATER made the score 4-1 on a goal by Lauren Lefler at 3:15 in the third period, and AURORA got as close as 4-2 when Reagan Fuller scored 5:46 into the third period. BLUEWATER was sparked by Becky Higgs, who finished with one goal. Higgs scored 8:59 into the second period to make the score 3-1 BLUEWATER. Lefler assisted on the tally. BLUEWATER kept AURORA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Taylor Lemmon made 35 saves on 39 shots. BLUEWATER could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. BLUEWATER additionally got points from Lefler, who also registered one goal and one assist, Morgan McCann, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Emily Woodhouse, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for BLUEWATER were Abby Dortmans, Brooke Hartwick, Karley Campbell, Taylor Philip, and Shailyn Waites, who each chipped in one. AURORA also got a goal from Christine McCarthy as well. More assists for AURORA came via Emily Reier, Maresa Benacquista, and Shayla Hele, who contributed one a piece.
