BRAMPTON hangs on, beats NEPEAN 3-1Century Gardens Sun, Sep 22, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Emily Landry (PU) gave BRAMPTON the lead in the first period, and NEPEAN was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-1. Landry (PU) provided BRAMPTON with the game-winning tally when she scored 6:41 into the the first period. Isabella Triolo provided the assist.Landry (PU) had one goal and two assists to lead BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five NEPEAN power plays. BRAMPTON also got a goal from Lindsey Smith as well. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Morgen Kidney, who had one. NEPEAN excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. NEPEAN was led by Katryne Villeneuve, who scored the team's only goal. Villeneuve scored 4:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 BRAMPTON. Sam Cogan picked up the assist. BRAMPTON's Isabelle Hunter stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that she faced. BRAMPTON incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Megan Halhed took the loss and made five saves before being replaced by Kira Bombay who made nine saves. NEPEAN incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
