Haman's goals lift Billings to 5-2 victory over Bozeman

The Billings Bulls relied on the scoring touch of Orri Haman, who netted two goals, to beat the Bozeman Icedogs, 5-2.

Haman's tallies came on the power play at 44 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Billings and on the power play 7:37 into the third to make the score 3-1 Billings.

Billings' penalty kill excelled, as the Bulls gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Billings stifled Bozeman's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls' offense rang up 45 shots on the Icedogs' net. Billings' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Billings additionally got points from Sam Orth, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Billings included Colter Endy and Dexter Nealy, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Billings were T J Theodosopoulos, who had one and Cody Phillips and Nikolas Nasby, who contributed two a piece.

Bozeman was led by Garret Bryan, who racked up one goal and one assist. Bryan scored 8:46 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Billings. Jake Nelson picked up the assist. Gunnar Mogck also scored for Bozeman. In addition, Bozeman received assists from JD Costantini and Jake Nicks, who each chipped in one.

Isaac Tjaden recorded 17 saves for the Bulls. Billings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Icedogs' Devin Day stopped 40 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Bozeman incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
