Rank leads Peoria to shutout victory over Mississippi RiverKings

Kyle Rank was superb between the pipes for the Peoria Rivermen, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over Mississippi RiverKings.

Parker Stanfield had a great game for Peoria, netting two goals. Stanfield found the back of the net on the power play 4:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria and again while 19:01 into the third to make the score 3-0 Peoria.

The Rivermen excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Peoria was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Rivermen gives up 2.7 goals on average per game.

Peoria also got a goal from Adam Feniak as well. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Garrett Vermeersch, who had two and Cole Ruwe, Adam Hartley, and Taylor Larsen, who each chipped in one.

Mississippi RiverKings' offense operated below it season average. Mississippi RiverKings averages 3.2 goals per game. Mississippi RiverKings' offense was clicking better than usual and put 32 shots on goal during the game, better than the 28.4 shots per game it averages.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by Matt Harrington, who took six shots.

Kyle Rank made 32 saves for Peoria on 32 shots. The Rivermen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matthew Krahn rejected 21 shots on goal for Mississippi RiverKings. Mississippi RiverKings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
