Kallechy leads Huntsville to shutout victory over Pensacola

Jesse Kallechy was superb between the pipes for the Huntsville Havoc, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Huntsville was led by Eric Alexander, who tallied one goal. Alexander scored 10:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville. Leland Fidler assisted on the tally.

The Havoc excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Huntsville's defensive play was more effective than usual against Pensacola. The Havoc allow 3.0 goals per game. By firing 33 shots on goal, Huntsville exceeded the 26.7 shots it averages per game this year.

Huntsville additionally got points from Josh Harris, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mike Gurtler also scored for Huntsville. More assists for Huntsville came via Stuart Stefan, who had two and Brandon Perry and Nick Lazorko, who contributed one a piece.

The Ice Flyers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Pensacola puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Ice Flyers were led by Steve Bergin, who took five shots.

Kallechy recorded 25 saves for the Havoc. Huntsville incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Peter Di Salvo made 30 saves for Pensacola on 33 shots. The Ice Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
