Knoxville falls to Huntsville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Huntsville Havoc's Nick Lazorko scored 4:52 into overtime to beat the Knoxville Ice Bears, 3-2 (OT).

Knoxville could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. Huntsville made the score 2-0 on a goal by Dominic Osman at 17:39 in the first period. The Ice Bears got to within 2-1 on a power play goal by Francis Drolet at 11:53 in the third period.

The Havoc were led by Lazorko, who tallied one goal.

The 39 shots that Huntsville put on net surpassed the Havoc's average of 26.1 shots per game this season.

Huntsville also got points from Osman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Scott Harff as well. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Eric Alexander, who had two and Leland Fidler and Brandon Perry, who each chipped in one.

Knoxville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Huntsville to score on any of its three power plays.

Eric Satim also scored for Knoxville. Other players who recorded assists for Knoxville were Ben Power, who had one and Mark Van Vliet, who had two.

Kevin Genoe rejected 24 shots on goal for the Havoc. Huntsville ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. Bryan Hince made 36 saves for the Ice Bears on 39 shots. Knoxville totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
