Mississippi RiverKings uses early goal to top Mississippi Surge, 2-1

Andrew Randazzo gave Mississippi RiverKings the lead in the first period, and Mississippi Surge was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-1.

Mississippi RiverKings took over the lead for good with a goal by Randazzo at 7:35 in the first period. Mississippi RiverKings had gotten the advantage when Mississippi Surge's David Sallander was sent off for hooking. Matt Harrington assisted on the tally.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by goalie Matthew Krahn, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Krahn will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.93.
