Bloomington downs Louisiana in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Darick Ste-Marie gave the Bloomington Thunder a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Louisiana IceGators when he scored 4:48 into the extra period.

Bloomington was led by Ste-Marie, who racked up one goal.

The Thunder's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Louisiana power plays.

Burke Gallimore also scored for Bloomington. In addition, Bloomington received assists from Kevin Walrod, Travis Granbois, and Daniel Barczuk, who each chipped in one.

Louisiana's offense was helped by the efforts of its defensemen, who managed to put 16 shots on net during the game. With 38 shots on target during the contest, the IceGators exceeded the 32.5 shots they average per game this year.

Louisiana was helped by Adam Stuart, who had one goal. Stuart scored short handed 17:18 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The IceGators were on a disadvantage when Kirk Byczynski went off the ice for tripping. Chris Wilson provided the assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Jake Trask as well. More assists for Louisiana came via Shawn McNeil, who had one.

Max Strang rejected 36 shots on goal for Bloomington. The Thunder incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Matt Zenzola recorded 22 saves for Louisiana. The IceGators incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
