Kincardine blows out Hanover, 9-1Davidson Fri, Jan 10, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kincardine Bulldogs were firing on all cylinders against the Hanover Barons, and when the final buzzer sounded Bulldogs emerged with a 9-1 win. Brandon Priestap was all over the ice for Kincardine, as he tallied two goals in the win. Priestap's tallies came at 11:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kincardine and 12:17 into the second to make the score 6-0 Kincardine. The Bulldogs made Hanover's goaltenders to work without much rest, getting 45 shots and forcing 36 saves. Ben Errington made 18 stops and Cam Harron made 18. Kincardine stifled the Barons' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulldogs bested their season scoring average. Kincardine has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Kincardine also got points from Brett Catto, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Sam Feagan, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Kincardine included Tanner Simpson, who had two and Matt Baker and Paul Lamont, who each put in one. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Gerritt Satosek, who had two, Chad Simpson, who had three, and Carter Strachan, Shawn Moore, Luke Czuczman, and Cody Britton, who each chipped in one. Hanover also got a goal from Andrew Scott as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hanover were Drew Quinlan and Brad Macintyre(AP), who contributed one a piece. Mitch Campbell recorded 23 saves for the Bulldogs. Kincardine incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hanover incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
