Campbell stymies Mitchell, Kincardine wins 3-1Davidson Fri, Nov 29, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Mitch Campbell stood on his head and made 34 saves to lead the Kincardine Bulldogs to a 3-1 victory over the Mitchell Hawks. Kincardine was sparked by Brandon Priestap, who tallied one goal. Priestap scored on the power play 13:47 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Kincardine. The Bulldogs had taken the advantage when Mitchell's Joe Gioia got sent off for holding. Tanner Simpson provided the assist. Kincardine put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hawks to score on any of their five power plays. Mitchell was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kincardine eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Kincardine additionally got points from Brett Catto, who also had one goal and one assist. Kincardine also got a goal from Chad Simpson as well. More assists for Kincardine came via Matt Baker, who had one and Cody Britton, who had two. The Hawks' offense operated below they season average. Mitchell puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. The Hawks' offense rang up 35 shots on the Bulldogs' net. Mitchell was led by Jerry Ennet, who scored the team's only goal. Ennet scored 12:33 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Tolton assisted on the tally. Kincardine incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Ben Nelson recorded 28 saves for the Hawks. Mitchell incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
