Huge game by Simpson boosts Kincardine over Wingham, 7-4

Tanner Simpson had two goals and one assist to lead the Kincardine Bulldogs to a 7-4 victory over the Wingham Ironmen.

Simpson found the back of the net 51 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kincardine and again while 9:56 into the second to make the score 5-3 Kincardine.

Kincardine made Ironmen's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots and forcing 34 saves. Jaden Shrier made 15 stops and Keegan Woodman made 19. The Bulldogs outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Kincardine averages 4.1 goals per contest.

Kincardine additionally got points from Ethan Skinner(AP), who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Shawn Moore, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Brett Catto, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Lucas Johnson, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Cody Britton, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Brock Pinnell and Jamie Miller, who each chipped in one.

Wingham was led by Ryan McNeil, who tallied one goal and one assist. McNeil scored 3:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wingham. Jamie Huber picked up the assist. Wingham also got points from Brett Brophy, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Wingham included Aaron Armstrong and Travis Donaldson, who each put in one. More assists for Wingham came via Jordie Schneider and Carter Stewart, who contributed one a piece.

Mitch Campbell recorded 26 saves for the Bulldogs. Kincardine incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Ironmen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
