A hat trick by Ryne Weppler was the highlight in Barons' 6-5 win against the Walkerton Hawks.

Weppler's first goal came 9:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:48 into the third and at 16:18 into the third.

The Hanover Barons' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Walkerton power plays. Hanover's offense rang up 38 shots on Walkerton's net. The Barons found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Hanover has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Hanover additionally got points from Denver Hill, who also had one goal and one assist. Brandon Eagles also scored for Hanover. In addition, Hanover received assists from Wendel Cameron, who had one, Jarrett Kuntz, who had three, and Garrett Weigel and Tyson Soers, who each chipped in two.

The Hawks kept the Barons' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cam Harron made 38 saves on 43 shots. The defensemen of Walkerton were also effective in Hanover's zone, and came away with two goals.
