Kincardine wins tough contest against Hanover, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Kincardine Bulldogs escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Hanover Barons.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Carter Strachan's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Kincardine was sparked by Strachan, who registered one goal. Strachan scored 14:51 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Kincardine. Cody Britton picked up the assist.

The Bulldogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kincardine forced Hanover goalie Ben Errington to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Kincardine also got points from Sam Feagan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brett Catto also scored for Kincardine. Other players who recorded assists for Kincardine were Shawn Moore, who had one and Jamie Miller, who had two.

The Barons' offense rang up 32 shots on the Bulldogs' net.

Hanover was helped by Tyson Soers, who racked up one goal. Soers scored 13:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jarrett Kuntz assisted on the tally. Hanover also got a goal from Justin Graham as well. In addition, Hanover received assists from Denver Hill and Tanner Bastien, who contributed one a piece.

Tyler MacGregor rejected 30 shots on goal for Kincardine. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Errington recorded 30 saves for the Barons. Hanover incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
