The St. Marys Lincolns had trouble finding ways to stop the Brampton Bombers, which beat Lincolns, 7-3. Eric DiCarlo was all over the ice for Brampton, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. DiCarlo scored the first of his two goals at 6:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brampton. Greg Wilson picked up the assist. DiCarlo's next tally made the score 3-0 Brampton with 8:42 left in the first period. Francois Cote provided the assist. The Bombers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 12 penalty minutes. Brampton forced St. Marys' goaltenders to work between the pipes, totaling 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Nick Dampier made 14 stops and Quentin Prokopetz made 10. The Bombers bested their season scoring average. Brampton averages 3.1 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Others who scored for Brampton included Jason Smith, who had two and Chris Maione, Brad Bollert, and Beau Goehrum, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Brampton were Reid Jackman, who had two and Josh Villaflor, Owen Burry, Brandon Stapley, and Brandon Clelland, who contributed one a piece. The Lincolns were helped by Colin Nancekinell, who finished with one goal and one assist. Nancekinell scored 17:05 into the second period to make the score 5-2 Brampton. Nico Giannantonio picked up the assist. Ben Kirwin also scored for St. Marys. In addition, St. Marys received assists from Cody Filson, who had one. Bryan Raymond made 16 saves for the Bombers on 19 shots. Brampton registered two goals on six power play opportunities. The Bombers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Phil Caputo was ejected from the game. St. Marys incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
