Derek Medeiros netted a hat trick to lead the Hagersville Hawks over the Dundas Blues, 6-3.

Medeiros got on the scoresheet 9:32 into the first period. He then added goals at 39 seconds into the second and at 11:58 into the third.

Hagersville stifled Dundas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hawks' offense rang up 44 shots on the Blues' net. Hagersville could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Hagersville additionally got points from Mitch Green, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Hagersville included Chris Martin and Derek Low, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Aleck Boyd, who had two and Nick Sherwood, Kyle Phibbs, Derek Friesen, and Austin Dezeeuw, who each chipped in one.

Dundas struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 28 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

The Blues were helped by Brayden Knott, who finished with one goal. Knott scored 4:07 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Elijah Williams assisted on the tally. Dundas also got points from Matt Johnson, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kevin Jaczenko also scored for Dundas. More assists for Dundas came via Nick McMullen and Chad Carey, who contributed one a piece.

Ian Sylves recorded 24 saves for the Hawks. Dan Davies rejected 38 shots on goal for Dundas. The Blues registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
