Behind one goal from Wade Kenny and one goal Kyle Robertson, the Chippawa Riverhawks downed the Glanbrook Rangers 6-3.

Kenny scored 4:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chippawa. Dylan Lazarus provided the assist. Robertson scored 13:41 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Chippawa. Kenny picked up the assist.

Glanbrook's power play was ineffective against Chippawa's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Riverhawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rangers to score on any of their eight power plays. Chippawa's goal total was higher than its season average. The Riverhawks average 3.8 goals per game.

Chippawa additionally got points from Lazarus, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Glanbrook kept Chippawa's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Humphreys made 33 saves on 36 shots.

The Rangers were led by Derek Vanenberg, who tallied two goals. Vanenberg scored the first of his two goals at 12:54 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Chippawa. Derek Goodwin provided the assist. Vanenberg's next tally made the score 5-3 Chippawa with 12:26 left in the third period. Chadd Edwards picked up the assist. Glanbrook also got a goal from Brad Parish as well. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Kyle Dumais, Chris Haigh, and Cole Anderson, who each chipped in one.
